Our Mission

Why we started the Stop The Pain Concert Charity

Why we started the Stop The Pain Concert Charity

Our concerts raise awareness of bullying in our schools and suicide of all ages, including our veterans. We lose on average 20 veterans a day to suicide. Our goal is to help stop bullying in schools and show compassion to people who are contemplating suicide. The numbers are staggering, but with everybody pulling together, we can make a difference.

The founder of the stop the pain concert charity,  Jody Medford, lost his mom several years ago due to suicide. His partner in the business and lifelong friend, Jan Curtis, had a similar loss so they decided to try to help people and raise awareness of this epidemic. The concerts are free to the public and always have a celebrity entertainer.  Jody and his band perform and they have special guest speakers. There are food trucks and a huge raffle and everyone is invited to come out and support our cause. So make sure to make plans to come out to the next concert. The face of the Stop the Pain Concert is Amber Cornwell. Amber took her life after  being bullied and we want to stop this from happening, so help us make a difference!!!

Our mission as a 501 c 3 NonProfit is to raise money for families who have lost loved ones due to suicide. We help with funeral costs, bills,  and other expenses such as food. We want our concerts to raise awareness of bullying in schools to where new laws are passed protecting our kids. We also want to take care of our veterans, we're losing way too many per day due to PTSD and other problems. Help us help them. You can make a donation directly to this site or you can come to our concert and be a part of our huge raffles and win some really nice prizes and help our charity. Celebrities such as Dolly Parton and the country band,  Alabama, have made donations and celebrities like Larry Stewart, lead singer for Restless Heart, have been a part of our event and donated several items.
